DON KLAEBE RESERVE

Public BBQ

Don Klaebe Reserve strikes you as one of those rare finds where families can genuinely spread out and breathe. The expansive grassy field dominates the landscape, anchored by a proper baseball diamond that sees regular action. What impressed me most were the towering established trees - they're not decorative saplings but substantial shade-providers that make all the difference on a scorching Australian day. The playground equipment has clearly seen recent investment, with the flying fox being the undisputed star attraction that had kids queuing for repeat rides. Tennis courts and half-basketball facilities round out the sporting options, while the fenced dog areas keep everyone happy. Parents particularly appreciate the abundant bench seating strategically positioned for optimal child-watching. The location's proximity to the beach adds unexpected value - you can easily combine a barbecue session with coastal activities.
